Amazing Minerals
All of the material you will need for this report will be found on this page and it's related links.
The first thing you will do is choose a mineral you want to research. The button at the bottom of the page will bring you to a list of minerals to choose from on the mineral information website.
For your mineral, you must tell it's chemical formula, color(s), streak, hardness, luster, cleavage, transparency, and fracture. You will need to give 4 important uses for the mineral you chose. You will also need to show the sources you got your information from.
The final project will be to create a one page picture advertisement (hand drawn or on the computer) for your mineral with the following information: Mineral name, Chemical formula, and a slogan that has something to do with it's important uses.
The button at the bottom of the page will have a worksheet you can look at to organize your information. I will also give you a hard copy of the worksheet.
